In preparation for a series of eBooks on <strong>Social Media Marketing<\/strong>, <strong>Content Marketing<\/strong>, <strong>Lifestyle Marketing<\/strong>, and <strong>Relationship Marketing<\/strong>, I am pulling together some of the source material that the new collections will feature.<\/p>\n<p>I imagine some of these pieces will be in the SMM collection, perhaps edited for clarity.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/adpulp.wpengine.com\/snarky-wendy-gets-egg-mcmuffined\/<\/p>\n<p><em>The making of a TV commercial or print campaign can take many months. Social media, on the other hand, is a fast-moving river. You can plan your excursion, and brands do, but there are rapids and boulders and logs everywhere. The degree of difficulty is high.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/adpulp.wpengine.com\/meet-li-ziqi-a-bohemian-chic-capitalist-from-the-mountains-of-sichuan-province\/<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe revolution will not be televised,\u201d warned Gil Scott-Heron in the 1970s. He was right, but it\u2019s a new day, and today you can retreat from the madness and turn it into a video series and e-commerce play.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/adpulp.wpengine.com\/can-we-quit-all-the-quitting-already\/<\/p>\n<p><em>There\u2019s a ton of poor Tweeting on a daily basis. Someone could write a thesis. For our needs here, let me point to one painful pet peeve.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The \u201cRetweet if\u2026\u201d post is absurd on its surface and hollow to the core.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/adpulp.wpengine.com\/oddly-workplace-ghosting-is-the-trend-that-reveals\/<\/p>\n<p><em>We hide inside or behind our screens and feel safe there. The biggest bullies do this, and the most frightened of mice.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Screens are the obvious physical impediment, but there\u2019s a deeper problem in our culture. <strong>Fear of confrontation<\/strong> is poison.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/adpulp.wpengine.com\/social-media-managers-are-brand-activists-not-chorus-girls\/<\/p>\n<p><em> Social is a real-time, always-on media channel with your brand\u2019s name on it. It\u2019s as complex as any media in existence, doubly so for brands, because social media users want access to decision-makers at brands, particularly when things go wrong.
