With more than two million people in the district\u2019s rapidly growing North Texas service area, residents and businesses need a safe, reliable water supply that meets their needs today and for decades to come.<\/p>\n<p>Since water literally flows from our taps, we don&#8217;t always give proper consideration to its source or its supply.\u00a0 Thus, a water conservation campaign has to get your attention and make you think. <a href=\"https:\/\/waterisawesome.com\/\">Water Is Awesome<\/a> is the district&#8217;s campaign to preserve and protect our most precious natural resource.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gKpOKi6_XjU?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Water conservation is important throughout the year, but as summer heats up it is especially vital not to waste this precious resource. This new spot \u201cWater Is Awesome,\u201d via agency <a href=\"https:\/\/richards.com\/\">The Richards Group<\/a>, reminds Texas what is important in a truly colorful way.<\/p>\n<p>Created by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lucky-post.com\/work\">Lucky\u2019s<\/a> Seth Olson, illustrations with a watercolor pastiche feature splashes of hue that flow from one image to the next to emphasize the conservation message. The campaign shows just how important water is to keeping North Texas cool and connected. Working from the agency\u2019s visual references and photographs of key landmarks taken by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lucky-post.com\/talent\/editor\/sai-selvarajan\">Lucky\u2019s Sai Selvarajan<\/a>, Olson approached the project\u2019s design and animation using ink splashes and bleeds in the watercolor-textured illustrations to give the final piece the desired organic feel.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the motion spot, Lucky produced illustrations for highly-visible print deliverables, such as bus skins, so the digital message would be more widely amplified.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1zp3vh82iCs?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#8217;ve done some digital painting both in personal projects and for commercial work at Lucky.
