On the other hand, agencies like Wieden + Kennedy and The Richards Group\u2014the two largest independents in the game\u2014for whatever reason, have <em>not<\/em> fostered a litter of smaller agencies.<\/p>\n<p>According to <em><a href=\"https:\/\/adage.com\/article\/agencies\/richards-group-spawns-cottage-industry-startups\/2323111\">Ad Age<\/a><\/em>, the equation in Dallas is beginning to change. At least three new shops have opened since the beginning of the year: <a href=\"https:\/\/bakerbonner.com\/\">Baker &amp; Bonner Creative Emporium<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plottwist.com\/\">PlotTwist Creativity<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.traceelement.com\/\">Trace Element<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-large wp-image-36561\" src=\"https:\/\/www.adpulp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Baker_Bonner_Creative_Emporium_Logo-1024x608.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"608\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.adpulp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Baker_Bonner_Creative_Emporium_Logo-1024x608.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.adpulp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Baker_Bonner_Creative_Emporium_Logo-300x178.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.adpulp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Baker_Bonner_Creative_Emporium_Logo-768x456.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.adpulp.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Baker_Bonner_Creative_Emporium_Logo.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"item--paragraph--type--body field__item\">\n<div class=\"paragraph paragraph--type--body paragraph--view-mode--default\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-field-paragraph-body field--type-text-long field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p class=\"paragraph-newsletter-4\">Baker &amp; Bonner was founded by the creative team of Rob Baker and Jimmy Bonner, who worked together for 17 years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"region-featured-left column-xs-12 column-sm-12 column-md-12 column-lg-8\">\n<div class=\"block-region-content-left\">\n<div class=\"block block-ctools-block block-entity-fieldnodefield-paragraphs\" data-block-plugin-id=\"entity_field:node:field_paragraphs\">\n<div class=\"editor-description__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"field field--name-field-paragraphs field--type-entity-reference-revisions field--label-hidden article-paragraph field__items\">\n<div class=\"item--paragraph--type--body field__item\">\n<div class=\"paragraph paragraph--type--body paragraph--view-mode--default\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-field-paragraph-body field--type-text-long field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p class=\"paragraph-newsletter-12\">\u201cAs creatives, no matter where you are, in your head you think what would it be like if we had our own place,\u201d says Bonner. \u201cWe had been thinking about it for a long time, and the opportunity to step out and do it was heightened by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adpulp.com\/stan-richards-says-bad-things-and-now-his-agency-is-reeling\/\">what happened in October<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new agency&#8217;s clients include one of rock and roll&#8217;s most prolific photographers, <span class=\"xn-person\">Danny Clinch<\/span> and his Transparent Clinch Gallery, <span class=\"xn-location\">London<\/span>-based Jan Erika Design, Oyster Fine Bamboo Fly Rods, <span class=\"xn-location\">Dallas<\/span>-based Peacock Alley, and R&amp;D Brewing in <span class=\"xn-location\">North Carolina<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>PlotTwist Creativity was formed by Dave Kroencke, a 32-year Richards veteran, and Chris Smith, a 22-year Richards veteran. The new agency is working with H.E.B. and Central Market, which decamped Richards following Stan Richards&#8217;s comments about Motel 6&#8217;s white supremacist audience.<\/p>\n<p>Trace Element was spun off from RBMM, an in-house design affiliate of Richards Group, into an 8-person indie run by decade-long Richards vets Jeff Barfoot and Lindsey Phaup.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ad Age<\/em> also reports that TRG has lost 100 people since last October.
