Next month, PepsiCo is introducing a reality dating show in partnership with ViacomCBS to promote its new flavor, Pepsi Mango.<\/p>\n<p>Details of the dating show are not yet available, but we do know its latest advertainment play from Pepsi as the brand seeks to reach people via television (with shows like <em>Cherries Wild<\/em>) and movies (like <em>Uncle Drew<\/em>) as well as through ads.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yzhSXJwPo18?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we think about the fragmentation of the media landscape and the skippability of ads \u2014 people want to watch the content that they want \u2014 there certainly still is a role for advertising,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/digiday.com\/marketing\/talk-to-them-on-their-terms-why-brands-like-pepsi-anheuser-busch-and-others-are-creating-tv-shows\/\">said<\/a> Todd Kaplan, vp of marketing at Pepsi.<\/p>\n<p>Pepsi Mango marks the brand\u2019s first permanent release of a Regular and Zero Sugar variety at the same time, designed to support consumers\u2019 growing preference for sugar-free offerings, without having to sacrifice great taste.<\/p>\n<h2><em>Cherries Wild <\/em>Is on Fox<\/h2>\n<p><em>Cherries Wild<\/em> marks the latest collaboration between the soft-drink maker and Fox. In 2015, Pepsi was part of a multiepisode plot line in the show &#8220;Empire&#8221; that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketingdive.com\/news\/pepsi-amps-up-empire-deal-reaches-viewers-who-skip-ads\/409540\/\">culminated with a main character<\/a> appearing in a Pepsi commercial to help boost his image as a pop star.<\/p>\n<p>The new game show is hosted by actor Jason Biggs, the half-hour show will test contestants&#8217; knowledge of pop-culture trivia in two rounds of gameplay that advances them toward a chance to win $250,000.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zWXS2vKScTk?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Pepsi worked with its agency OMD and The Content Collective, Omnicom Media Group&#8217;s entertainment and content marketing unit, to negotiate the <em>Cherries Wild<\/em> collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PepsiCo wants to entertain you.
